Company logos are more than just a company emblem. A well designed logo should reflect the company's identity. Too often, firms design logos that simply look cool, or that are of their own stylistic preference. Good logo design is rooted in a solid understanding of the history, and nature of the company itself.
Because of their competitors' logos that utilize characters resembing bent tubes, we sought another, more powerful way to represent Tube Bending Concepts' identity. Fortunately, since the company is known by its full name rather than its acronym, the logo design was not bound to a typographically obvious representation of TBC.
After lengthy interviews with the company's owners and a tour of their facility, we asked if we could borrow some of their product (hefty machine parts that support the bending of metal tubes). This logo design borrows the familiar shapes from within their industry which resonate with their customers. We think that the finished design is a clean, unique and powerful corporate identity piece.
